I got into rehabbing because it is all I’ve ever wanted to do. I took wildlife all 4 years in high school. I was the only girl in there! That was 10 years ago, but it speaks to my dedication and love for wildlife. I considered many careers with wildlife and animals in general before I figured out a wildlife rehabilitator is what I was really looking for. A vet wasn’t a right fit for me, neither was TWRA agent. I considered rehabbing animals that didn’t require such extensive training and permits but wildlife is my passion. I have filed my (nonprofit) business with the state and have been issued an employee identification number. We are in process with our 501(c)(3). We have began construction of our facilities and I am continuing to train with Juniper @ For Fox Sake.
