I was a 911 dispatcher one night I helped a lady save an owl from a barbed wire fence(with permission from a fish/wildlife officer) and put her in contact with a local rehabber. I felt more pride and fulfillment saving that owl via telephone than I had felt in a long time. I left 911 dispatching the following spring and started rehabbing that fall. I have always loved helping animals and now here I am saving lives, watching them walk off into their natural forevers, and educating the public with a heart so full its amazing.
