I became involved with wildlife rehab as a freshman in college, and immediately knew I wanted to rehab as a career! I changed my major and continued working in rehab throughout my college years, and then became a full time rehabber at Rockfish Wildlife Sanctuary shortly after graduating. Now that I am the rehabilitation program manager at RWS, I get to provide care to hundreds of animals in need every year, and further our mission of helping return wildlife to their natural habitats. I love the diversity of animals I get to work with, and the joy of seeing animals get a second chance in the wild.
