Like many, ever since I was young I wanted to help wildlife. I have some core memories of feeding chipmunks in northern Wisconsin. And creating garden “potion” meals for birds with my neighbor. I’ll never forget the first injured bird I saw and I was so upset that there was nothing I could do in that moment to help. The desire was always there but it took awhile to find the ‘how’. Through the years life happened quick and before I knew it I was locked into a career field that wasn’t for me. I eventually began volunteering at a falconry center which lead to great relationships, connections, and fundamental experiences. When the opportunity came to apply for my life’s dream job I took it! And now I’m where I always wanted to be.
