I got into rehabbing when I was given a baby squirrel to care for by a friend who's cat brought into their house. As soon as I received the baby squirrel I knew it was something I wanted to do, care for, and release. I then reached out to my local wildlife rehabilitator Karen Lamb and she happily took me in under her wing. I volunteer at her wildlife refuge to assist with animals when she is overwhelmed.
