I got into wildlife rehabilitation when I had to complete an internship for college in 2020. I knew I wanted a unique experience instead of working at a veterinary clinic. I started in May and was there 5 days a week and fell in love with helping wildlife. I completed my internship with over 600 hours of experience of babysitting orphaned babies such as nestling song birds, baby squirrels and opossums as well caring for the adults in the clinic. I was hired the following year and began rehabbing on my own and have been since.
