I’m an “accidental rehabber”! I was actually rehabbing area wildlife for years and I just didn’t realize that I was doing that. I just wanted to help animals as much as I could. They always seem to find me, injured animals or new mothers with their wild children in tow just show up on my back patio! I’ve always enjoyed that connection. SO when I was invited to become a registered state wildlife Sub Permitee to legally rehab wildlife, I just couldn’t say no! I met the nice people with Silent Voices Wildlife rehabilitation and I have been doing this and learning more about saving animals ever since! This year I am planning to finally get my full rehabilitation license and be able to set up a larger rehabilitation center focusing on raccoon and squirrel rescue.
