This incubator campaign was for the TLC-30 Eco βTo Goβ Portable Incubator model
I have always cared for animals unoffically rescuing birds from hitting windows and other critters that I would come across over the years. Last year I decided to become a licensed rehabber. It is both heartbreaking when you don't have a positive outcome and extremely rewarding when you can let them go back to their wild life. Last year was heartbreaking with the loss of many young raccoons to feline distemper. I managed to pull 1 through and he was released this spring. He has some lasting effects of the distemper so he was released with continued support. 6 healthy opossum were also released last fall.
This year, at the beginning of baby season, I have 3 raccoons who are thriving but I was unable to save 6 baby possums due to the inability to keep them at a consistent appropriate temperature. Having an incubator would provide young babies with a consistent warmth needed to grow and thrive. I am hoping to branch into more species of medium to large mammals but so far it had been raccoons and opossums.
