This incubator campaign was for the TLC-30 Eco “To Go” Portable Incubator model
Once I retired, after 33 years, I wanted to do what made me happy or what I wanted to do, so I reached out to Nolin River Wildlife and started volunteering a couple of times a week. After a couple of years, I decided that I wanted to do more, so I started the process of getting my license and now I take in neonate raccoons and care for them at my house returning them to Nolin River Wildlife once they are weaned. They then go to what we call "raccoon kindergarten" where they go into a large enclosure with our other babies and they all learn to be raccoons and are prepared for release. We do have 500 acres to be able to release on, so we have a really good success rate with our animals. We are not a large facility, so me taking care of them at my home allows us to be able to take in a few more babies than we could if they were all being cared for at our facility. Having an incubator at my home would be so much better for them than me keeping them warm on a heating pad.
