Years ago, I hit a rabbit with my car, something that many people can relate to! I stopped and found that she was a nursing mom. I felt so distraught that I didn't know what to do in that situation: do I call someone? How do I find the babies? I didn't want to feel so helpless in the future, so I vowed to educate myself and find a way to help wildlife in the future. This sparked a years long journey to become a wildlife rehabilitator so I could help animals in need. I volunteered with several rehabilitators, took classes, attended several conferences, and read every book I could get my hands on. I love learning and I always strive to give the best care possible by keeping up on the current science and care protocols. Thank you for helping me help hundreds of animals every year!
