At the start of my freshman year in college, I joined a rescue club on campus and quickly found my passion for rescuing animals. A year later, I started volunteering at Nature World Wildlife Sanctuary and became one of their wildlife rehabbers, raising baby birds as well as opossums. I quickly found that opossums are one of my favorites to rehab and raise.
