I was raised in northeastern Connecticut on a small family farm with most of its acreage wooded. I grew up with and loving animals – domestic, farm, and wild. As an adult my interest continued. I am a graduate of the CT Dept. of Energy and Environmental Protection’s first Master Wildlife Conservationist course. Most of my work as an MWC has been outreach at schools, libraries, and fairs. Now that I have moved back home, I work at the local CT Audubon Society center. I began volunteering with Ferncroft Wildlife Rescue, which specializes in opossums. After several years, I finally realized I too could become a wildlife rehabber. I attained my license earlier this year. I am now setting up for 2025 spring babies.
