We always had dogs, cats, birds and fish while our children were growing up, after they left home we had more time. There was a Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center near our house in PA. We would go to the Open House each year and when they asked for volunteers, we applied. It started an over 10 year relationship with animals of all types. I gravitated to the birds, especially hatchlings and nestlings. When we moved to FL, I volunteered at a sanctuary for Seabirds for many years. When COVID caused shutdowns across the country, I rehabbed in my home, and have continued to do so.

I want to help those beings who have no voice. The best feeling is a wild release.
