Eleven years ago, somebody found two orphaned baby squirrels in their yard and they were to be euthanized. Kathi couldn't let that happen so she took them in and researched all she could about how to care for them. The next season, word was out that Kathi had saved the first two so another one arrived. Before she knew it, she was the Squirrel Lady and people have been bringing her injured and orphaned babies ever since. She made it official, passed her fish and wildlife test, and is awaiting her home inspection to be fully licensed. An incubator will help Kathi keep the babies warm and healthy.
