Lena
This incubator campaign was for the Petiatric model
As a child, Lena's father nurtured her love of wildlife and helped her rescue the occasional turtle or squirrel. As an adult, a close friend took a baby bird to a rehabber and told Lena about an organization that trained wildlife rehabbers. Lena immediately signed up for training, combining her love of wildlife with her background in communicable disease epidemiology and public health. Five years later she cares for up to 50 animals each year - eastern cottontails, squirrels (including flying squirrels), raccoons, opossums, foxes, native bats, groundhogs, and pretty much any other small to medium native species in need. Last year when she desperately needed an incubator to save some snapping turtles, it took her 3 weeks to find one that she could borrow. Having one of her own will make all the difference in the world and help Lena save countless animals.
