Laura R.

A former neonatal intensive care nurse and now a teacher, Laura began rehabbing when two wild orphaned baby animals appeared in her yard - a squirrel and a bunny. She now makes caring for injured and orphaned squirrels and bunnies her part time job during the year when she teaches, and full time during the summer months. When she's not helping wildlife, she's fostering kittens and puppies as well as tutoring young students with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. Laura says that helping wild animals then releasing them back into the wild where they belong is one of the greatest joys of her life.
