Ashley K.

When Ashley was in school for Veterinary Technology in Florida, she completed her last semester of clinical rotation at South Florida Wildlife Center. After graduation, she worked at the center for a few years before returning home to Virginia to be closer to family. Ashley has been a home rehabber ever since. She helps squirrels, opossums, raccoons, rabbits, and the occasional bat, as well as providing temporary care for birds on their way to a federal rehabber. While working at the Florida center was the best experience of her life (so far!), Ashley feels that home rehabbing is the closest she can get to that incredibly fulfilling experience. She loves saving animals that wouldn't have made it without her care, then releasing them back into the wild where they belong.
