When a little injured turtle needed care, Missy began her wildlife rehabbing journey, learning from a licensed rehabber and eventually earning her own permits. 30 years later, her organization is the largest in Mississippi, helping over 2657 animals so far this year alone. Wild at Heart Rescue helps all Mississippi native species and Missy specializes in possums. While overcoming her own disability, Missy devotes herself to animals who need her help.
