Susan has always loved of animals of all types. As a child, she would frequently bring home injured, lost or sick animals, much to her mother's dismay. After Susan's children grew up, she decided to pursue wildlife rehabilitation. She worked closely with other rehabbers in her area and eventually obtained her own license, now caring for opossums, squirrels, birds and rabbits. Susan says that wildlife rehabilitation has become the joy of her life and is her true calling. She hopes to one day retire and be able to care for animals full time, as well as build on the education program she has already started with her non-releasable, educational permitted opossum.
