Vicki has always loved working with animals and was first introduced to wildlife rehab while working as a zookeeper at the Virginia Zoo. Occasionally the public would bring injured and orphaned animals to the zoo because they didn't know who else to call. During that time, Vicki raised a river otter, a few squirrels and songbirds. After retiring, she began to look for a way to continue working with animals. She worked at a local wildlife center then started her own organization in 2012. Vicki cares for cottontails, opossums, raccoons, squirrels, bats, reptiles and amphibians. She devotes her life to helping wildlife as well as educating the public about conservation and wildlife.
