Jennifer L.

After an office found a mama flying squirrels and her babies in the kitchen drawer, they called Jennifer's dad who in turn called Jennifer. She was teaching 7th grade science at the time and had always had a love for animals. She agreed to take the family and keep them until they could be released. The mama didn't make it, likely due to the stress of her day, but Jennifer took in the babies who were the size of boiled peanuts at the time. After Jennifer was unable to find a vet office that could help, she researched and raised them on her own. After that experience, Jennifer decided to volunteer and found PAWS Wildlife Sanctuary. She now cares for squirrels and opossums and is passing on her love of wildlife to her children.
