After a year working as a zookeeper, then 2 years as a veterinary assistant, Kim moved to Indiana and started a new job. It was less hands-on with animals than she was used to and she really missed that. She found out about Wildcat Creek Wildlife Center and figured those animals could really use the help. Kim started out doing 2 regular volunteer shifts per week. Over time she ended up getting her own permits. She eventually went back to school to become a veterinarian in order to be able to help the animals even more, and now cares for Squirrels, Opossums, Rabbits, and Skunks mostly, but also Raccoons, Deer, Coyote, Fox, and Mink. An incubator will be a life saver for her most fragile baby patients.
