Cindy Z.
Cindy has always loved animals and has found that animals in need in particular seem to gravitate to her. Cindy was a EMT/firefighter and retired due to PTSD in addition to other chronic health issues. She looked into working with wildlife to help her with the PTSD and fill a giant void in her life from having to leave the job. She immediately fell in love with wildlife rehab and says that it basically sucked her in. She is currently an off site caregiver who helps when her local wildlife refuge needs assistance. Cindy finds that it helps ease her PTSD as well as her aches and pains. For now she has been lugging a borrowed incubator back and forth from the refuge. Having her own incubator will be a tremendous help. Wildlife rehab and nursing animals has become a huge part of her life. She helps the babies heal and they help her heal as well.
