Ashley M.
Ashley has always had a love of animals as long as she can remember, and always considered herself a "dog person". When her family moved onto a small homestead, they began growing a small flock of chickens and various other animals. It wasn't until Ashley began working and caring for these other species that she realized how wonderful they each are and how individual their personalities were. She quickly realized she is a "bird person" in addition to a "dog person". Watching her flock of fowl and the songbirds that gather at her feeders brought her so much joy, but she wanted to do more. This is when Ashley found the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue and their baby songbird feeding program. Her love of rehab begun and she feels like she has finally found her purpose and the thing that fulfills her. Gaining the knowledge she has through apprenticing and various courses, she is stepping off to build her own facility to further help native wildlife. Ashely says that this is truly the greatest adventure she has ever been on.
