$475 of $475 raised

Four years ago Matt and his partner noticed a lot of activity on their patio at night. They put out food and it was gone in the morning so they set a trail cam and were surprised to see a momma opossum with babies on her back. They fed the momma for several weeks until one day they noticed that the momma was seriously injured. By this point the babies were gone. They really wanted to help the momma but didn't know what to do. They found a wildlife center and called for advice. They said trap the momma and bring her in for evaluation. They trapped her and took her to the center where it was determined that she had an infection. While Matt and his partner wanted to care for her they knew we weren't qualified so the rehab and release was left up to the center. It was at that point Matt knew that was his mission. Now they volunteer at the center, have worked under a mentor for two years, and now today they work with the center, various groups, as well as the game warden to rehabilitate and release opossums.
