Max L.

$475 of $475 raised

Max started in wildlife rehabilitation in the beginning of 2015. Prior to then, he was heavily involved in rescue and shelter medicine. He has always had such a respect for animals – especially wildlife. After he began at Lindsay Wildlife Experience (in Walnut Creek, CA) as a Wildlife Rehabilitation Intern and saw the dedication of his coworkers, he knew he had found his place. Max remembers the day he brought home his first raccoon kits to foster. He says that the dedication that individual wildlife rehabilitators have is inspiring – not only to help those animals impacted by human activity, but to prevent them from occurring in the first place through education and stewardship. He wants to help conserve the wildlife we have because of the increasing pressures we have put on their environment (and their lives) as we expand into their backyards to create our own. Everyone has an opportunity to help our wildlife, starting with simple every day choices.
