Kimberly D.

$475 of $475 raised

Kimberly has loved animals since she was a child. She grew up on a large family fruit farm, and loved exploring nature and learning about wildlife. Her family took in orphaned animals when she was young. Kimberly started volunteering at a local pet store in middle school, for fun! The pet store had a wonderful employee who was a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator. She began working at a large vet hospital that had a Wildlife Rehab wing, and Kimberly went to “bring your child to work day” with her when she was around 10 years old. When she finished school, she learned that – with a determined mind – it was actually quite simple to become a licensed rehabilitator. That year, Kimberly applied, studied her behind off, passed her test, and became a licensed volunteer Wildlife Rehabilitator herself!
