Mindy H.
The first wild animal Mindy rehabilitated was when she was 13 years old. She started her first job at a horse barn, and when while picking stalls she saw something out of the corner of her eye fall. She went to investigate and it was a baby barn swallow. She scooped it up and took it to the barn owner who gave her a box and a warm water bottle after not being able to reunite with the family. Mindy did some research and the baby grew up to be released back into the wild. After that she started many jobs with animals including working at a local vet. She opened a dog grooming and boarding facility in 2016 and joined her local fire department. She has always wanted to rehabilitate animals and finally got her chance when she started to volunteer at a wildlife rehab facility. Then she decided that she wants to open her own rescue which will be her county's first wildlife rehabilitation center.
