Part-time nurse Stacie took in a baby opossum after his mother and siblings were killed. It was love at first sight for her entire family. They took him to a wildlife rehabilitation facility, and immediately Stacie knew that this was what she wanted to do. She was in awe of the animals and what the rehabber was able to do to save them. Stacie discovered that there was a need for more rehabbers in her area, and she knew that she could make a difference for the wild animals in her community. She spent many hours at the facility, applied for her permit, took her classes, and now has a wildlife rehabilitation facility of her own!
