James says that he's not your typical rehabber. "I'm 6'2 with a full beard and look like a mountian man." He has worked a variety of jobs in his past, including working at NASA. He's a retired paramedic of 18 years and has delivered 9 babies in his lifetime. The paramedic training and experience has come in very useful in the wildlife rehab. James was first introduced to wildlife rehabilitation through his wife, a rehabber for 20 years. For the last year James has been watching her handle these small ones and his love for them has grown. He says that they make the perfect team with her motherly instincts and his paramedic training. They take pride in each wild one they have been able to successfully rescue, rehab and release.
