Years ago, Samantha was working for a vet clinic that didn't have anyone to handle wildlife so she stepped up, and has been helping injured and orphaned native wildlife ever since. Ten years ago she developed a severe case of Hodgkin's lymphoma. Samantha says that being a wildlife rehabber gave her something to fight for. Rehabbing helped her fight cancer and she beat it in March 2012. She continues her work with animals, hoping to have a positive impact not only on wildlife but also with her family of loving volunteers at KWC.
