Wildlife, especially birds, have been Amy's passion her entire life. When she saw her first peacock as a child in London she was hooked. She was recently hired as the Rehabilitation Coordinator for Bird TLC in Anchorage after volunteering for that organization and many others over the years. Amy now cares for all wild birds found in Alaska, as many as 900 each year. It's so important to her to take care of sick and injured birds as 95% of the time they are injured by human activity or disturbance in some way. Amy does all she can to help birds while also sharing her passion for birds with children - both her own and others - and helping them connect with nature.
