I am working with two friends, Carol and Laurie, to reopen a wildlife rehab called Harmony Wildlife. Carol opened Harmony in Fairview, Tennessee in 1992. I met Carol in 2002 after I found an orphaned opossum. I brought the opo to Harmony, met Carol, and immediately offered to volunteer. I worked with Carol for many years, and twenty years later we are dear friends. Harmony closed in 2013; during that time I volunteered at another rehab where Laurie was part of the animal care permanent staff. Now, the three of us are working together to reopen and relocate Harmony in Nashville, Tenn. Opening my own rehab has been a long-time dream, but reopening Harmony is even better because I have the opportunity to work with Carol and Laure and our long-time supporters are ready to help us get back to work, helping Tennessee’s wildlife.
