Andrea was a nurse working in home health care for 15 years but felt she hadn't found her true calling until an injured squirrel came into her life. With help from a vet, she nursed the squirrel back to health and released him back into the wild. She hasn't looked back since. Ten years later, Andrea now cares for all species native to Arkansas - deer, squirrels, fox, rabbits, opossums, skunks, groundhogs, chipmunks and more - often more than 500 each year! As if the animals aren't enough work, Andrea also rescues ferrets and rabbits and sells wood burnings to help pay for her rehabbing supplies. She says, "everything I do is all about animals."
