With a degree in Animal Science and a passion for animal care her entire life, wildlife rehabilitation seemed like a natural fit for Anne-Marie. She owns and operates a professional pet sitting business and found herself with a lot of downtime last year during the covid-19 pandemic. She was looking for a new volunteer opportunity when her dog found and dug up a cottontail nest of baby bunnies in their backyard. Completely unsure what to do with the babies, Anne-Marie frantically searched for information on the internet. That search led her to Wildlife Welfare's website. The information they provided gave her the confidence to return the bunnies to their nest and keep her dogs safely away for the next couple of weeks. They were overjoyed as a family when they got to witness mama bunny returning to the nest to feed her babies as they grew. Anne-Marie discovered a whole new world that summer in terms of rehabbing wildlife and she's so grateful to be able to pursue it on her own.
