As a child, I became fascinated with rehabilitating wildlife, which was further sparked by my aunt's successful rehabilitation of a fawn. A few years ago, I discovered that Friends of Wildlife was offering a "bottle babies" class, which I was eager to enroll in. After completing the course, I collaborated with a licensed rehabber who allowed me to sub-permit under her. That year, I rehabilitated 11 raccoons and 4 squirrels, but it was the raccoons that captured my heart. I not only rehabilitate them but also perform intakes and rescues for other rehabbers.
