Beth's co-worker is a rehabber and talked Beth into volunteering with her. She realized that there was a great need for a bird rehabber in the area so she decided to get her licenses and specialize in birds. She is now permitted to rehab raptors and songbirds along with small mammals like squirrels. Beth says that she adores pigeons and very much enjoys championing the underdog.
