$475 of $475 raised
Bethany always wanted to work with wildlife, starting at a very young age. She started volunteering with Runs with Wolves in Maine in 2001 where her passion for the work began to grow. Next, starting in 2009, she volunteered with Center for Wildlife working with small mammals, birds, and reptiles learning extensive baby mammal care. She moved over to Safe and Sound to work with Carol Widdowson and learn to work with RVS species. Bethany completely fell in love with raccoons and skunks, and Carol convinced her to go for her own state-license. Since then, Bethany started Saco River Wildlife Center in 2015 where they specialize in RVS species, especially raccoons, but care for all Maine mammal species.
