Several years back Brandi's dog killed a mama opossum and she took the babies to a local wildlife organization. The following year, she found a baby opossum abandoned near her porch and took it in to raise and release, but despite vet visits and giving the best care that she could figure out via Google, she was not successful. It was then that Brandi knew she needed to get involved with folks who know how to take care of the little guys in the best way possible. She started searching for a group and was so fortunate to have found The Opossum's Pouch Rescue & Rehabilitation. This past spring, Brandi started volunteering through them to take in babies and raise them to release. She says that it has been such a rewarding experience and she is so grateful.
