I worked in domestic animal clinics and at an internship for a zoo throughout university. While I knew I loved working with animals I knew I wanted to work with native wildlife, so I applied for an internship at a wildlife rehab facility near my home. Due to my previous experience with animals they offered me a seasonal position for that year, and loved it. I returned to the center after graduating that fall, and began working with some of the permanent education animals. I was hoping to move to Canada to be closer to family and found the listing for the position at Sandy Pines- when I heard they were looking for someone to specialize in birds I knew it was meant to be!
