Carla F.

Carla started working for a veterinarian when she was 15, helping with wildlife that he cared for. After working in other fields for a while, she came back to work for the same veterinarian again, this time as an assistant. He was the only vet in the area who would help with wildlife, and Carla learned volumes from him. She eventually applied for her own permit and has been caring for wildlife ever since. Someone recently asked Carla if she's proud to be able to help these animals.  She answered that pride is not a part of it, rather she feels fortunate to be able to help, both the animals and the concerned people who find them.
