I have always loved animals and caring for those in need, which is why I became both a registered nurse and a wildlife rehabber. Wildlife rehabilitation allows me to combine my passion for animal care with my desire to give injured and orphaned wildlife a second chance at life. Seeing an animal recover and return to the wild is an incredibly rewarding experience. Over the years, I have worked with a variety of species, initially focusing on grey squirrels, cottontails, chipmunks but growing to appreciate the unique nature of opossums as well. In addition to rehabilitation, I strive to educate the community about wildlife, including giving small presentations to Girl Scouts and educating where ever I go. As I work to expand my nonprofit and outreach efforts, having the right equipment such as a baby warmer incubator will greatly enhance my ability to provide the best care possible for the vulnerable animals that come through my doors.
