Catherine's mother said that as a little girl, Catherine was always rescuing injured animals in the neighborhood. She really doesn't have any memory of that but apparently she brought home baby birds, injured jays, pigeons and mourning doves that had been hit by cars. Catherine does know that roadkill has always really bothered her, and even worse was seeing wildlife injured on the road but still alive. She felt so helpless. That's what got her started rescuing and rehabilitating owls and hawks. She was strictly a bird caregiver for years but now people are bringing her squirrels, opossums, and turtles as well. Let's get Catherine the incubator she needs to take care of the most fragile babies.
