Cerri S.
Cerri first got into rehabilitating wildlife around 18 years ago when she saved a nest of 3 blue jay babies from a crow. The parents did not return after 12 hours so she climbed the tree and brought them inside to keep them warm and feed them. She spent hours learning all she could, realized how easy it was to acclimate them to being wild when they were weaned, and they were successfully released when ready. Since then, she has cared for and avidly read about many different local species of birds and other animals. Then she met her best friend, a licensed Rehabilitator who took Cerri under her wing, so to speak, and made her a sub-permittee. Since then, Cerri has cared for many squirrels, some as young as 3 days old (all successfully released), wounded bats, opossums, and countless birds. She says that her home is always open to all wildlife in need.
