After 28 years as a Paramedic, Deanna was injured and could no longer continue that line of work. A lifelong animal lover sharing her home with many pets, she decided to get licensed to help wildlife. Deanna now cares for squirrels, bunnies and opossums at home as well as volunteering at the Carolina Raptor Center. She's also a mom and grandma who spends much of her time reading all she can to learn about animals, science, biology, and anything to help her in caring for injured and orphaned animals.
