Deborah left her job to care for her husband's mother and was with her for a year. Then unemployed and not sure what job to look for, her husband said "just do whatever makes you happy". She has always loved animals so she looked into wildlife rehab. Her first baby was a little girl possum. One look at that little pink nose and big eyes Deborah was in love. She has spent the last three years trying to learn all she can about the opossum. She has also had the pleasure of babysitting baby squirrels too. Deborah says that every two hour feeding, every time you get pee or poo on you, every time you're up at midnight making formula, it's all worth it when you see your baby running free, and yes, there are always tears.
