Debra had worked for many years as a vet tech and wanted to get back into helping wildlife. She heard of the great work that Happinest Wildlife is doing and wanted to be a part of it. She has been volunteering with them for about a year, caring for possums, squirrels, chipmunks, flying squirrels and cottontail rabbits. Debra also works for a nonprofit where they go into schools and do science shows. She is designing a show now that teaches kids all about wildlife and the environment. She is in the process of getting her rehab and education license so that in addition to caring for injured and orphaned wildlife on her own, she'll be able to use non releasable wildlife for education.
