Dede S.

When Dede was in college she had an opportunity to get a job at a veterinary hospital. Her dream job had always been to work with animals, so she quit school and started her career in veterinary care. She was so fortunate to work with a veterinarian who worked with the wildlife. The first time Dede assisted him was helping to hold a falcon with an injured wing. The experience inspired her to join a wildlife rehabilitation organization in 1988, and she started caring for song birds, squirrels, opossums, fox, and raccoons, just all kinds of animals. She took classes and learned what she could and has never looked back!
