Denise was always the kid bringing home baby birds, stray dogs and other animals in need. She started caring for orphaned wildlife in her late teens (not really knowing what she was doing!) but when she moved to Lake Tahoe in 1995, she learned that Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care was holding a training class - which she really needed! She started volunteering, and because LTWC cares for EVERYTHING from bear cubs to hummingbirds ( & every species in between!) she have learned A LOT! Denise says that every season she learns more about species that are new to her and that is the best part of wildlife rehab!
