$475 of $475 raised
Diane has always had a love for animals and enjoyed caring for domestic animals. She hated to see wildlife being injured or killed and didn't know how to care for them until she had a friend introduce her to the world of wildlife rehabilitation. Diane attended a meeting at Our Wild Neighbors and was hooked. She mentored under a seasoned rehabber and then took on babies to raise and release. The reward of seeing a young baby opossum or squirrel grow up under her care went above what she had expected. Diane currently manages a historic site for the state and enjoys the work as she's so passionate about history, and she hopes to spend her retirement days caring for wildlife.
